Keys, keys, keys and keys. Always good to have when you want to open something that is locked.
Keys were not invented on the same time as we invented the door. It was invented when some poor people started to take others things. Ever since then, we have feared to lose our valuable property. We don't trust strangers anymore, despite that most strangers are friendly and/or not interested in your materials (if it's not very luxury, but most wouldn't rob you anyway because of high moral values). So, if you live in a high-crime-neighbourhood then lock the door, otherwise it doesn't matter that much if you’re not having something very expensive (etc lots of gold under your bed) in your apartment. Thefts happen mostly in the newspaper but it's very rare in real world. Losing your keys is not a big problem if you rarely use them. To keep your keys at a safe place in the pant-pocket, ensure that the key is locked in a key ring that is locked in a keychain. If you want then you can also ensure to wear the same trousers every day so you don't have the keys in another trouser type when you need them. You can also, if you really want, bend in the mobile phone in the keychain so you can call yourself up when you lose your pants of some reason. But imagine that you have no keys with you and you want to get into your locked apartment. Don't worry! Look for keys in all your pockets, in the pants and in the jacket, in the backpack and in your underwear. If you don't find the keys then, go slowly back exactly the same way you came from and look on the floor/street after the keys. If you have been on a long trip, then try to think about the keys and all the places you have been, slowly you will remember the place you saw them last time, or were you simply left them. If you can't find your keys despite all efforts, call your local lock smith. If there's no look smith that can help you at the moment (of some reason) then just follow our When you have nowhere to sleep guide. Let's hope that you don't end up being homeless for the rest of your life! |
